With the successful launch by SINAG HIMIG Chorale last September in United Kingdom, we bring you the Philippine launch for Mass of San Lorenzo Ruiz: A Mass Dedicated for Filipino Migrants composed by Nikko Oliver Villanueva.
This isn’t just a music book — it’s a labor of love for Filipino migrants around the world. Every song is filled with heartfelt melodies and rich harmonies that speak to our journey, our faith, and our shared story.
Inspired by San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint (and yes, one of the first OFWs too!), this Mass includes “Kaluluwa ni Kristo”, a beautiful Tagalog version of the beloved Anima Christi.
Come sing with us. Pray with us. Celebrate with us.
Let’s lift our voices together — for our faith, our culture, and our community.

The Composer
Nikko Oliver Villanueva, composer and arranger, has written a diverse range of works spanning from sacred and liturgical pieces to popular and secular music. He has received commissions to compose and arrange music scores for television, corporate and product promotions, and choral works.
In 2016, he launched his compositions and arrangements for the New Roman Missal entitled Take Away the Rest: Mass of St. John Bosco which is now sung in various parts of the Philippines and abroad, including Singapore, Italy and Austria.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Manila, he is now pursuing his bachelor’s degree in choral conducting at the University of the Philippines College of Music. Prior to this, he took up harmony and songwriting under Ryan Cayabyab, National Artist for Music, at the Music School of Ryan Cayabyab.
As a tenor, he sings with the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers led by its choirmaster Mark Anthony Carpio. Additionally, he serves as the group’s technical director, and resident composer and arranger.
Nikko also serves as the conductor and musical director of the St John Bosco Parish Chorale.
